I am asked quite often why I love Bollinger Bands. Well I love anything based on Math. To me you cannot ever fake out Math. After backtesting most ways of plotting standard deviations I found Bollinger Bands give me the best look for trading longer timeframe charts. Whether it be the 60 min Footprint, 20k Trade or other. It helps me identify who is in value or who is paying a premium. Do I want to trade mean reversion or do I want to wait for it to revert to the mean so I can get on board with the trend. It is all pretty simple and when trading, the more simple the better.
